Our Story: Founded by a diverse group of women, InspireHer Chicago is grounded in inclusive values. While our mentors and staff are often rooted in faith, the program is open to all girls regardless of background or belief.

Meet Our Team

Drea

Andrea Mosley - Board President

Andrea serves as the Board President for InspireHer Chicago; an organization dedicated to empowering young women and building strong, connected communities. She is the passionate force, founder and visionary leader behind this program and has 15+ years of experience mentoring youth. Born and raised on Chicago's South Side, she brings a grounded, heartfelt approach to everything she does.

A stay-at-home mom of four and a homeschooling parent, Andrea has been married for 17 years and leads her family with faith, love, and purpose. She is a published author, motivational speaker, and former youth minister with a background in sales and leadership - skills she now uses to pour into the lives of teen girls through mentorship and strategic vision.
Whether speaking to students, facilitating workshops, or leading her team, Andrea's message is clear: confidence, resilience, and community matter.

Andrea is building InspireHer Chicago into a platform that transforms lives, fosters leadership, and creates lasting impact.
Kiara

Kiara Shackelford - Board Vice President

Kiara serves as the Board Vice President for InspireHer Chicago. She is a multidisciplinary artist and dedicated educator with a deep love for all things creative. Raised in Chicago, she earned her B.A. in Vocal Jazz and Music Business from Columbia College. Since 2012, Kiara has served as a teaching artist in Chicago Public Schools, where she taught drama and music across various grade levels.

Her experience spans early childhood through high school, including her work as a certified Kindermusik instructor. Kiara also brings her talents to the Chicago Lighthouse, leading music enrichment classes for students with disabilities.

Passionate about mentorship, especially for young women, Kiara is committed to inspiring and empowering the next generation through her work with InspireHer Chicago mentorship organization. 
Danielle

Danielle DeCuir - Board Treasurer

Danielle serves as the Board Treasurer for InspireHer Chicago. She is passionate about fostering confidence, leadership, and resilience within girls and young women.

Growing up in an urban environment herself, she understands the unique challenges and incredible strengths that shape our girls’ experiences. Through personalized mentorship, community engagement, and skill-building workshops, Danielle, alongside the team, will strive to create a safe, inspiring space where every girl feels seen, heard, and equipped to succeed.

Danielle is from the Roseland neighborhood on Chicago’s south side and received her Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Roosevelt University and her Master’s degree in Higher Education and Counseling from Kansas State University. Her professional experience over the last 20 years has been in higher education, property management and risk management.

As a proud mom of a neurodivergent son, navigating the world of autism has taught her to be a fierce advocate, a constant learner, and a more empathetic person - a skill set that lends to nurturing the next generation of leaders, innovators, and change-makers by helping them build self-belief and access resources that pave the way for brighter futures.

Cidney

Cidney Hartley - Board Secretary

Cidney serves as the Board Secretary for InspireHer Chicago. She is a compassionate, purpose-driven individual who strives to live and work in alignment with her natural gifts.

She is passionate about personal growth, giving back and using her strengths to lead by example while helping to create a safe and supportive space where all teen girls can thrive.

With over a decade of experience working in the non-profit sector supporting individuals with disabilities and a heart rooted in service, she has developed a deep commitment to empowering and inspiring teen girls through mentorship.

Her heart for helping others fuels her mission to show up with intention and care to make a difference one life at a time.

Cidney finds joy in quiet moments in nature, game nights with family, and the occasional spa day.
